A Child Is Missing then launches potentially thousands of calls within minutes with an alert message detailing the missing person’s description, last known whereabouts, and pertinent information. This alert message will also include a Newark Police Department phone number for use by anyone with information relating to the missing person. This program is a free service to law enforcement. Newark Police officials will evaluate each potential activation of the A Child Is Missing Alert Program to ensure the application is appropriate to the case and to ensure the system is effectively used. Policies, procedures, and employee training will also guide the use of the program, according to a department release.       Phone numbers that are called by this program include listed numbers and mobile numbers available to A Child is Missing in the selected area. Mobile numbers, unlisted numbers, broadband/voice-over IP numbers, or TDD/TTY devices can be added to ensure they, too, are called in the event of an alert. To enter your cell phone, unlisted, broadband/voice-over IP or TDD/TTY device number visit www.achildismissing.org and click on “add your name” to enter your name, number, and address. This information will only be used for emergency message alerts.   Representatives with Boulden Electrical, at 714 Interchange Boulevard, notified the Newark Police Department that unknown suspects had removed a pallet of steel shelf bars that were part of a surplus purchase from a Home Depot store. The seven to eight-foot long bars are painted orange and retain item stickers from the Home Depot. Each weighs approximately 40 to 50 pounds. Police investigated and found that several bindings had been cut and that a small portion of the pallet was left behind, indicating that the bars were taken off the pallet individually. No fingerprints were recovered at the scene, but police found three shoe prints in the dust near the pallet. No video surveillance footage was recovered. Police are contacting local metal yards to see if the bars have been sold for scrap. The incident occurred last Saturday in the 3100 block of Woolen Way. The victims stated that they had left their apartment building to enter an adjacent building when they heard an individual shout behind them, “What you say? Yeah, keep walking!

This is a problem all of us with electric lifts will face. The biggest problem is the window tracks, the material in the track wears out and it becomes increasingly hard for the motor to push the window up. Add to this the lift mechanism needing lubrication and various other parts and the window gets stuck. You will need to take the door panel off and inspect the window lift parts lubricate what you can which usually get the window working for awhile. Fortunately the parts are available form LMC Truck. For my 95 F150 the parts to rebuild both doors, assuming I don't need new motors and they are working just fine. is about $150 dollars. Electric window lifts are really nice until you get 10-20 years down the road and then they become a real PIA. They are not easy to service and they are out of sight out of mind.
