Tammy's Tips: Try these tips - from Chick-fil-A to cheese nachos

      Hi everyone and thanks for the positive feedback I received from my first column (June 10). I am so happy to share more money-saving, fun tips. 
      • Fun new find – My family and I visited the new A to Z Treasures resale shop in the Canyon Lake Towne Center and, wow, were we impressed! I was happy to see a variety of items for sale at great reasonable prices. I brought in a box of unwanted items to trade or sell and was so happy when I was able to sell them and receive $50. My daughter collects Disney pins and purchased a few for a really great deal. I enjoyed visiting with Tara, the owner, who says she also buys gold and silver and pays top dollar in comparison to others. I’m so excited to announce Tara is offering my readers an extra 10 percent off their purchase just by mentioning “Tammy’s Tips.”
      • Cowabunga! I have a free lunch or dinner for the family tip I can’t wait to share. At any Chick-fil-A Restaurant on July 8 they are promoting “Cow Appreciation Day,” Silly, I know, but if you come dressed like a cow from head to hoof they’ll reward you with a free meal. A partial costume receives a free entrée, so it takes a full costume to get a free meal. They say, “The more cow you wear, the more meal you’ll receive.” Go to www.chickfila.com to see for yourself. They even have a cow costume kit you can download. I’m taking the girls to enjoy lunch together with all the other moo-chers. We think it will be a fun experience (and I will get my Murrieta errands done on the same day to make it worth the trip!)
      • Fun tip – Do you have Disney DVDs or Blu Rays? Look through your stockpile and check inside for the Disney reward codes. Sign up at www.disneyrewards.com, type in your codes and redeem for free merchandise. When you redeem your points for an item, they ship it to you for free. When I first heard about this program, I went through all my DVDs, found seven codes and redeemed them for a Disney pin. It’s now a collectible valued at over $50. (My husband and I collect Disney pins too!)
      • Local bargains – If you’re looking for something special or unique to add to your collection, don’t forget to search and shop e-Bay, Craig’s List, The Penny Saver and, of course, the classified section of The Friday Flyer.
