"I'm a fighter and my wife is a fighter," he said. "We'll fight this into the Supreme Court if I have to."

The board's decision stemmed from a Jan. 5 disorderly conduct charge against Slocum based on an incident at the school, which led to a suspension without pay. Slocum admitted to using profanity during a conversation with a student in the school's main hallway while walking the student to the office for a disciplinary referral. The charge was dismissed in court March 25.

"This isn't pleasurable for anybody," Pender County Schools Superintendent Allison Sholar said. "I don't take pleasure in having to deal with personnel matters. But I followed policy and law and the due process speaks for itself. That's all I'm going to say."

In making her recommendation to dismiss Slocum, Sholar collected evidence to demonstrate a pattern of explosive behavior from Slocum and presented it in a hearing held March 22-24. The case manager who conducted the hearing ruled in favor of the school board, and the testimony of that hearing was provided to the StarNews.

A review of the testimony and documentation presented during the hearing indicates that Slocum made several serious transgressions. What isn't clear is why some of the incidents presented during the hearing were entered into his school district personnel file and some were brushed aside, or why the case took more than five months to reach its conclusion.

‘Pattern of behavior'

In his original appeal of the suspension, Slocum requested the case be heard by a case manager. In that hearing, the school board cited six incidents involving Slocum as reasons for the dismissal including the Jan. 5 incident.

In February 2009, Slocum removed a disruptive student from his class and admonished that student with a raised voice in the office of former Trask Assistant Principal Jeremiah Johnson. When former Assistant Principal Jennifer Bessolo tried to enter the room, Johnson said Slocum slammed the door in her face. The school board's letter of dismissal said that incident by itself may have been grounds for dismissal.

Epitome Of A Bad Mother: 16-Year-Old North Carolina Teen Stabs ...

A teenager in North Carolina gave birth to a baby girl last Friday, then brutally stabbed her to death, authorities said.

The 16-year-old is now facing first-degree murder charges and is in the custody of the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office.

Police say Rebecca Blackmore, a sophomore at Currituck County High School, went to the emergency room at Chesapeake General Hospital to report she’d given birth to a baby.

The Knotts Island teen told hospital workers the baby was dead and she left it in her bedroom closet, authorities said.

Sheriff deputies retrieved the dead child from the home and brought her body to the medical examiner. It was later determined the baby was alive at birth, but died as the result of multiple stab wounds, WVEC 13 News reported Wednesday.

Blackmore was known to be dating fellow Currituck County High School student Michael Derosier, WVEC 13 reported. He has not been charged in connection to the crime.

It is unclear if the girl’s family was aware she was pregnant, WTKR 3 News reported.

North Carolina’s Safe Haven Law could have protected Blackmore if she had decided to give up the baby. The law allows anyone who has given birth to drop off their newborn within seven days at a hospital and face no criminal charges.

SMH… Why kill an innocent life when she could have easily given the child up for adoption, left her at the hospital — or even had an abortion earlier in her pregnancy. This ish is just crazy. Seems like the whole world is going to hell in a handbasket!!!

This broad is headed straight to shankville to get eaten alive by the hardened lezzbuns in the joint.

R.I.P. to that innocent life!
