Events lined to support Relay For Life
EASTVILLE -- The summer season is off to a fun and exciting start as the teams of the Eastern Shore Relay For Life host a plethora of family-friendly fundraising events that will make giving to the American Cancer Society fun and easy for all.
The La Bella Mi team is hosting a Knock Out Cancer Co-Ed Softball Tournament today at the Northampton County Parks and Recreation field at Indiantown Park in Eastville.
Teams must consist of an equal proportion of men and women not to exceed 20 players per team. Registration is open until the tournament begins at 9 a.m.
To register, teams must submit their roster and the $125 entry fee to Katie or David Williams at 757-350-1108 or 757-414-0370.
The winning team will be given T-shirts. Concess-ions will be on sale during the tournament, and all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
On July 12, the Parksley Baptist Believers are hosting a dinner auction at Annie's Restaurant in Parksley.
Doors open at 5 p.m., auction starts at 6, guest auctioneer is Alan Barfield, and items include paintings, jewelry, and other items. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
The annual Vera Bradley/Longaberger Bingo and Cake Raffle co-hosted by the Blue Crabbers and Board Team is set for July 30 at its new location, the Tasley VFW.
Books are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and $10 for additional books. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
July 31 marks the appearance of national recording Christian rock band VOTA. The band will perform at 6 p.m. at Nandua High School. Only 500 tickets will be sold, so get to Shore Bank branches or Parksley Sign Co. to grab your tickets in advance for $12. If any tickets are left, they can be purchased at the door for $15. Larger groups can buy 10 tickets and get 1 free. Local band Caruso will open the concert, and refreshments will be on sale. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

Cut out at 3” the Boy Sock Monkey from B is for Boy Cricut Lite Cartridge . When you go to cut the layers, you will want to cut one set as normal and the other set using the flip key. The reason you do this is so your piece of jewlery is finished and dressed on both sides! You will then start to use the Nail Acrylic as directed to start building up the Acrylic one side at a time. You will put the piece into the Teresa Collins Stampmaker to let it completely dry. Do this for both sides. Using the nail files and nail drill you will file the acrylic smoothing it out. Once this is complete you will use the nail buffer to smooth it out. Be sure to dust your piece off. Working one side a time starting with the back, paint clear UV Nail polish on the back. Place it into the Teresa Collins Stampmaker to cure. Apply the Clear UV Nail Polish to the front and cure again.
